The Khaganate of East Tourkia is a country north of Darian Persia, south of the Union of Sovereign Soviet Republics, and west of Sassanid Persia. The Roman Empire's alliance with Persian forces didn't fair well for East Tourkia, and it lost Transcaucasia to war with Persia before they signed a peace treaty. The Roman-Tourkian relationship was somewhat mended when the Tourkians and Romans worked together to fight off the Varangians who'd attempted to attack Constantinople, but again strained when East Tourkia recognized the New Greek Empire, which later replaced Rome on East Tourkia's southern borders.
Xanjon's presence kept the Islamic conquests from ever occurring, so East Tourkia was considerably stronger by the 1000s AD, strong enough to resist the conquest of the Varangians, along with the help of the Roman Empire, which was stronger than Real Life 00's Byzantine Empire.
