The First Kingdom of Crownway, known contemporarily as the Kingdom of Crownway (Crownwegian: Kølnerigat Krontski) was an absolute monarchy which existed from 482 to 926. Before its foundation, the territory of Crownway was occupied by a multitude of small ancient nations. Unification in 482 occurred upon the ratification of the Ckonståat Treaty by all six of the major kingdoms, placing leadership upon the Kings of Ckonståat.

Following the Ckonståat Treaty, a period of restructuring followed. The six former kingdoms were federated and subsequently dissolved, forming the first six Provinces of Crownway: Ckonståat became what was to be known as the Helje Friçion Province (but what was then called the Cronstat-Fristion Province), and the others became the Norbul, Elrethin, Wenburt-Alshat, Bhulzhat-Mecklenz-Querzil and Richt Provinces.

In 926 the Kingdom was invaded by the recently formed Dentirian Empire. Dentiria's comparatively massive military forces crushed that of the unprepared Crownway, and the Royal Government retreated to the northwest peninsula of Crownway. While Dentiria created the Crownwegian District in their newly annexed territory, the Royal Government created the Chancellorship of Crownway, a devolved form of the old Kingdom.

When the Chancellorship attacked Dentiria in 1314, it began to reoccupy old territories that had been taken by the Empire several centuries earlier. By 1326, the year in which the Treaty of Krontstaden ending the war was signed, Crownway had regrown to occupy almost all of its former lands. They had also retaken their old capital, Krontstaden, which was formerly known as Cronstat. Upon the signing of the Treaty, the Kingdom's successor state, the Second Kingdom was founded.
