The Fourth Amendment to the Constitution of Rome was the fourth amendment to the Constitution of the Empire of Rome, the supreme law under which the Roman Empire operated. This amendment was effective from 1982 to 2005. It was written by Roman Emperor Constantine XXII. This revision of the Constitution was preceded by the Third Amendment to the Constitution of Rome. The 1982 amendment abolished the Roman Imperial Senate and gave Constantine XXII absolute power over the Imperial government. After Constantine's death, both the third and fourth amendments were repealed and the first amendment restored.
