The Treaty of Festningstadt is the founding document of the Viking Empire. In 1532 AD, it was forged at the end of the Eight Year War between France, Vinland and Norway taking place in the city of Festningstadt, located near the Delmarva peninsula.

OverviewEdit

Territory rearrangementEdit

The treaty annexed Vinland to be part of Norway, because Vinland had seceded from Norway without their knowledge. France was given the region equivalent to the southern United States.

ReformationEdit

Norway's government would be reformed to create more stability. New shipment procedures to and from the New World were put under way to decrease the spread of disease. Norway was reorganized into an Empire, with jarls being reinstated into Vinland.

While several laws were given to citizens that would ensure their protection, there was no equivalent to the Bill of Rights. Such a document would not come until 1578 AD.
